Picking the right expedition support makes a difference! McKinley Flight Tours* has been supporting climbing teams, sky divers, trekkers, and explorers for years. Your trip into the Alaska Range begins right here.
Our powerful de Havilland Turbo Beaver* ski planes will transport you to Kahiltna Base Camp in about 35 minutes, flying you right over all the ground you don’t have to cover before your summit attempt. A team of 5 and gear can be easily accommodated in each plane.
We can even provide flights or time for route scouting and inspections.
In 2010, we are offering these flights until June 5:
- Kahiltna Base Camp: $500 per person
- Ruth Glacier: $450 per person
- Custom Expedition Support: call for pricing
Price includes 125 pounds of gear per person ($1 per pound over 125 pounds). A fee to support the Base Camp facilities and staff is additional and is paid at the time of your flight.
All expedition support includes:
- Air transportation to and from Alaska Range glaciers
- Equipment rentals including stoves, tents, snowshoes, sleds, and shovels
- Sales of white gas, maps, cord, and wands
- Secure dry gear storage
- Assistance with ground transportation and overnight accommodations
We can also help you with locating information and other resources.
Your safety is our primary concern, so all flights and routes are weather-dependent.
*Glacier landings are operated by our partner, Fly Denali, Inc, a National Park Service concessionaire.
Reservations
A $100 deposit per team is required at the time of reservation. A deposit reserves your space, but flights are always weather-dependent.
